"Things You Wouldn't Know If We Didn't Blog Intermittently."
Didn't work. Drooled on my shirt instead. Can I just live there, please?
I want to go there now. Right now.As to the phrase, it is what we in the US should have said and preached after 911. Instead we got the paranoia of Dick Cheney et al, and two wars we should not have engaged in.
Or at least one war (Iraq) that we should have not engaged in. On another note, it strongly reminds me of my favorite bookstore, Powell's in Portland, Oregon, which has masses of stacks of books going every which way. I wish I lived in Portland, but unfortunately live in Minnesota.
I live in Portland, and, indeed, Powell's is one of my favorite places. And I think Barter's sounds lovely.
Fascinating piece of history. Charming bookstore. Really enjoyed this. No matter who gets elected, it would probably be good to keep a copy of this poster up here in America.
LOVE IT! So charming I had to buy one! It's now on order......
Barter Books is one of my favourite places. My wife and I spent our first date in that bookshop, revisited it on our first anniversary, and then again on our honeymoon weekend.
